Refund and Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, billing reviews, and refund requests may work for KODEEFY platform services, and how those differ from merchant-to-customer order refunds.

Last updated: Legal review pending

This Policy covers the billing relationship between users and KODEEFY for platform services, setup work, domains, and related charges. It does not replace a merchant’s own customer-facing refund or return policy for storefront orders.

Refund eligibility depends on the service, timing, provider processing status, applicable law, and the specific facts of the request.

This page is a platform draft and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before production publication.

1. Scope of this policy

This Policy distinguishes two different relationships:

A. KODEEFY billing relationship

Covers platform subscriptions, early-access use, future paid plans, store-setup services, domain charges processed through KODEEFY workflows, and other platform-related fees.

B. Merchant-to-customer refunds

Covers product orders, returns, exchanges, delivery disputes, and COD issues between a merchant and that merchant’s customers. Merchants remain responsible for those policies and outcomes. KODEEFY does not automatically become the seller of merchant products.

2. KODEEFY platform subscriptions

If KODEEFY offers paid platform subscriptions, those plans may include recurring billing, feature limits, and renewal terms disclosed at purchase or in-product. Subscription details may change as products evolve.

3. Early access and free use

KODEEFY may offer free early access. Free early access does not create a cash-refund entitlement and is not a promise that the platform will remain free permanently.

4. Future paid plans

Future paid-plan prices, limits, and refund terms should be disclosed before billing starts where reasonably practical. Until paid plans are introduced and terms are shown at checkout or in-product, this Policy describes principles rather than a fixed price list.

5. Billing-cycle cancellation

Where paid subscriptions exist, users may request cancellation according to the plan’s billing cycle and in-product controls. Cancellation typically stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund amounts already processed unless a refund is approved under this Policy or required by law.

6. Subscription renewal

Paid plans may renew automatically until cancelled. Renewal timing and notices depend on the plan terms shown at purchase. Users should review renewal dates in account billing settings where available.

7. Refund eligibility

Specific refund windows and monetary rules require legal and billing-ops review before production publication.

Refund eligibility depends on the service, timing, provider processing status, applicable law, and the specific facts of the request. KODEEFY does not promise automatic, instant, or full refunds in every case.

8. Non-refundable charges

Some charges may be non-refundable once work is completed, digital access is delivered, or a third-party provider has finished processing. Examples can include completed custom setup work or provider-processed domain fees, subject to provider rules and law.

9. Domain registration and renewal charges

Domain registration, renewal, redemption, and transfer charges may become non-refundable after registrar processing. Domain availability, renewals, and registrar outcomes are governed by registrar terms in addition to KODEEFY workflows.

10. Payment-provider and transaction charges

Payment providers may assess processing fees, reserves, or chargeback costs. Those amounts may not be refundable through KODEEFY even when a related platform fee is reviewed.

11. Third-party service charges

SMS, email, courier, app-store, tax, or other provider charges selected by a merchant may be billed by those providers under their own terms. Cancellation of KODEEFY access does not automatically cancel every third-party subscription.

12. Store setup and custom service fees

Store-setup or custom service fees may be refundable only to the extent work has not been performed or as otherwise agreed in writing. Completed or substantially completed services may not qualify for a full refund.

13. Failed payments

Failed payments may result in retries, feature limits, or suspension according to plan terms. A failed charge is not itself a refund event.

14. Duplicate or incorrect charges

If you believe KODEEFY billed you twice or charged an incorrect platform amount, contact support promptly with invoices or transaction references. Validated duplicate or clear billing errors may be corrected by refund or account credit where appropriate.

15. Chargebacks and payment disputes

Filing a chargeback without first contacting KODEEFY may delay review and can result in account restrictions while the dispute is investigated. Chargeback outcomes are decided by banks and payment networks.

16. Merchant refunds to storefront customers

Merchants are responsible for their own customer-facing refund, return, exchange, and delivery policies. Order refunds, COD disputes, and shipping claims are handled between the merchant, the customer, and any payment or courier provider involved. KODEEFY may provide tools that help merchants process refunds, but those tools do not shift seller responsibility onto KODEEFY.

17. Account closure

Users may request account closure. Closure may stop future platform access and billing according to plan terms, but does not automatically create a refund for prior charges or erase every legal or backup record.

18. Data access after cancellation

After cancellation or closure, data export or temporary access may depend on available tools, account status, legal retention needs, and technical limits. Instant or complete deletion is not guaranteed in every case. See the Privacy Policy for related details.

19. Service suspension

KODEEFY may suspend services for non-payment, policy violations, fraud risk, or security concerns. Suspension is not the same as a refund approval.

20. How to request cancellation or billing review

Request cancellation or billing review through in-product billing controls where available, or by contacting support with your account email and relevant invoice or transaction details.

21. Processing times

Review and refund processing times vary. Provider settlement cycles, banking networks, and investigation needs can affect timing. KODEEFY does not promise a fixed processing deadline in this Policy.

22. Changes to this policy

KODEEFY may update this Policy as billing products change. Material updates should be communicated before they affect new paid billing where reasonably practical.
